Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. Jeremiah 33 v 6 The Lord who created and established this world promises us health and healing. In other words, His infinite power by which He created the universe backs His promise to give us health and healing. It is His will that we, His people enjoy abundant peace and security. When we call to Him, He promises to answer us and tell us great and unsearchable things we do not know. What we cannot search and find on google, the Lord will reveal to us. When we believe in Jesus and receive Him as the Son of God sent to be our Saviour by dying on the cross and being resurrected by the power of God, we gain access to the Father. He restores us and renews us in His image. The Lord God becomes the source of our righteousness. The infinite power that resurrected the dead body of Jesus that was completely bloodless when removed from the cross as testified in the gospel is at work in us to give us health and healing, abundant peace or Shalom and security. The Lord has made an unbreakable covenant with us even as He has made a covenant with the day and the night, as unfailing as the sunrise, as certain as the sun set, as certain as the fixed laws of science that rule the physical and chemical substances of the earth. This implies that just as the heavenly bodies and all of matter obeys the laws of nature, so all of the forces of disease and disorder will obey the word of the Lord. The reference in the uni-verse to "My" people is significant. We are no longer a people who do not know God and are led by our own lights, our own insights. We belong to God. We are His subjects, obedient subjects of His eternal kingdom. We are His children, obedient to the Father. Health, healing, peace and security are our daily bread that the Father provides for us. We are His servants, obedient to the Eternal Master. He is concerned about us and compassionate to us as a Father is compassionate to His children, as a kind Master to His servants. He knows our fundamental needs are mental and spiritual- health, healing, peace and security. Our need is the seed of our faith. The seed of faith grows as the Lord meets our need.
