UV 4275/10000 Focus on Being His Magnifying Lens

See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the people but the Lord rises upon you and His glory appears over you. Isaiah 60 v 2 The world and worldly people are covered in darkness but the Lord shines His light upon those who believe in Him, those who acknowledge Him, those who revere His name and serve Him. Darkness is a metaphor for not knowing who God is, what His nature is, and the extent of both His love and power. At the time of Moses, while darkness covered all Egypt, there was light in the houses of the Israelite slaves. Likewise, the glorious presence of the Lord lights up our lives even in the midst of gross darkness or evil and ignorance prevailing in this world. The light in us and on us will attract people from all nations and even kings or rulers will be drawn to the brightness. We will be able to see through the contemporary darkness and our faces will be radiant even as Moses' face shone after His close communion with God on the mountain of Sinai. The Lord will endow us, ordinary people otherwise, with His extraordinary splendour. The floodgates of blessing will be opened in our lives. We will be the enduring pride and joy of succeeding generations, implying our legacy will be tremendous. The Lord will replace our mundane qualities, strengths and treasures with that which is truly rare, precious and valuable. We will not depend on external things, factors or people for our guidance but depend only on the Lord for both peace and wisdom. Our salvation will be closely guarded, our security ensured. Our mouths will be the open gates that declare the praises of the Lord all the time. He will bless us with amazing growth and fruitfulness in all our domains. The Lord will do all this in His time or due time, implying He will take His time to do it but once He begins to do it, He will do it swiftly. Jesus had a sense of time during His earthly sojourn. He kept telling His own earthly family and disciples, " My time has not come." But when the time came, He knew it and did not flinch or draw back. We should surrender ourselves as magnifying lens of His glory. A magnifying lens focusses all light and energy at a particular point or targetted object. Likewise, we need to focus the energy, light and power of the Lord on the task at hand, on the purpose or objective He wants us to pursue.
